The Cañon City Public Library was established in 1886 by the Cañon Ladies Library Society. The library exists to serve the reference and recreational reading needs for all ages in a diverse community, and to provide public access to public information. The City of Cañon City advocates funding and policies that support the library as a great democratic institution, serving people of all ages and circumstances, and providing the full range of materials and information resources needed to live, learn, govern, and work. Board meets first Wed. of each month at 1:30 p.m.
